Hi, I'm Randy.
I live in suburban Illinois with my dog and spend a fair amount of time in the kitchen.
I started Randy's Kitchen to keep track of the recipes I like. I used to keep them on index cards. Index cards are not a particularly durable storage format either.
Every recipe here is something I actually make. The stories are the things I think about while it cooks.
If you only came for the recipe, there is a button at the top of every page that skips straight to it. I won't be offended.
About This Site
Randy is a fictional character. So is his dog, his grandmother, and the regulars who show up in the comments.
The photos are AI-generated. That includes the food photos, so your plate may look different. It will probably taste the same.
The recipes are real. Every one of them is cooked in a real kitchen by a real person, and the measurements and times are the ones that person actually uses.
The stories are exactly as long as they feel. There is a Jump to Recipe button on every recipe.

The best way to reach Randy is to leave a comment on any recipe. He reads every one before it goes up.
There's no email address and no newsletter. That's on purpose.
If you want something removed, like a comment you posted, leave a comment saying so. Requests like that never get published.
