Privacy Policy

I don't want your email. I don't sell anything. There are no ads, no newsletter and no tracking scripts on this site.

What gets saved

  • If you leave a comment: the first name you type, your comment, and the date. Those are shown publicly once the comment is approved.
  • If you leave a comment or a rating: a scrambled, one-way code made from your internet address. It's used only to stop spam and duplicate ratings. Your actual internet address isn't stored, and the code can't be turned back into it.
  • If you rate a recipe: the number of stars you picked.

Cookies

The site sets one cookie so the comment and rating forms work. It isn't used to track you, and it's deleted when you close your browser.

The web host

Like every website, the company that hosts this site keeps standard server logs (things like internet address, browser type and pages requested) for security and troubleshooting. Randy's Kitchen doesn't use those logs for anything else.

Getting something removed

Leave a comment on any recipe asking for it. Removal requests are never published.

Comment Policy

  • All you need is a first name and a comment.
  • Every comment is read before it appears. Most go up. Nothing goes up automatically.
  • Comments that won't be approved: spam, links, advertising, personal information (yours or anyone else's), and anything mean.
  • Comments aren't edited. They're approved as written or not at all.
  • Randy sometimes replies.
  • Some of the regulars in the comments are characters, like Randy. Star ratings come only from real readers.
